Mikki Hypnotherapy — Client Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms
By booking or participating in services provided by Mikki Hypnotherapy, you (“the Client”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all hypnotherapy services delivered by Mikki Milligan, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (“Hypnotherapist”). Scheduling and/or payment of a session confirms your acceptance of this agreement.
2. Services Provided
Mikki Hypnotherapy provides professional hypnotherapy sessions for personal development, emotional healing, and mindset transformation. Services may include:
- Individual hypnotherapy sessions
- Multi-session or program packages
- In-person or online (Zoom) sessions
- Guided recordings, assessments, and follow-up tools via a secure client portal
3. Session Format & Scheduling
Sessions are conducted either:
- In person: 415 Dunlawton Ave, Suite 107, Port Orange, FL 32127
- Online via Zoom: as scheduled
Clients should arrive on time or 5 minutes early. Arrivals more than 5 minutes late may be considered a missed session.
4. Booking & Cancellation Policy
A card on file is required to reserve any session. Your card will not be charged at booking unless you choose to prepay.
- Cancellations / Rescheduling: Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice so the time can be offered to another client.
- Late Cancellation (<48 hrs): A $50 late cancellation fee will be charged.
- No-Shows: The full session fee will be charged (or any prepaid amount forfeited).
- Late Arrivals: Arrivals more than 5 minutes late may be considered a missed session.
- Exceptions: We understand that emergencies happen. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
By booking, you authorize Mikki Hypnotherapy to charge the card on file in accordance with this policy.
5. Program Packages
Multi-session or bundled programs must be used within 6 months of the last session date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment terms, scope of services, and expiration timelines will be provided in your client portal or by email.
6. Early Termination of Services
The Hypnotherapist reserves the right to end the therapeutic relationship or decline future sessions if:
- The Client displays inappropriate or sexual behavior, violates professional boundaries, or becomes disruptive.
- The Hypnotherapist determines continued sessions are no longer in the Client’s best interest.
- There is a conflict of interest or ethical concern.
If services are ended, unused prepaid sessions may be refunded at the Hypnotherapist’s discretion.
7. Confidentiality & Privacy
All personal information shared in sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed without your written consent, except:
- When required by law
- When there is a risk of harm to yourself or others
Session notes and recordings are stored in a secure, HIPAA-compliant client portal. Clients may request access to their records at any time. Audio recordings of hypnosis sessions are for personal use only and should not be shared or redistributed without permission.
8. Hypnotherapist Disclosure
The Hypnotherapist will use professional skills and techniques to support your goals with integrity, confidentiality, and respect. While many clients experience transformation, individual results vary and depend on your active participation.
9. Health Disclaimer & Medical Referral
Hypnosis is a complementary modality and not a substitute for licensed medical or psychological care.
Disclaimer:
If previously diagnosed, **Mikki Hypnotherapy will only work on medical, dental, or mental health conditions with a prescription or referral from an appropriate licensed practitioner of the healing arts as per Florida Statutes § 485.003 (Hypnosis Law). Fax referrals for hypnotherapy to 386-463-0394.
Clients with epilepsy, seizures, psychosis, personality disorders, or those serving as legal witnesses are advised not to undergo hypnosis without clearance from a licensed provider.
10. Substance Use Policy
For safety and effectiveness, hypnosis cannot be provided to clients actively using:
- Fentanyl
- Heroin
- Methamphetamines
- Cocaine
- Alcohol (abuse or dependency)
Clients must be substance-free for at least 30 days before beginning hypnosis sessions.
11. Client Responsibility
The Hypnotherapist guides the process, but clients are responsible for their own choices, actions, and results. No guarantee of specific outcomes is provided. Mikki Hypnotherapy is not liable for personal, emotional, or financial outcomes related to services.
12. Record Retention
Session recordings remain available in your client portal for 6 months after your last session. Clients are encouraged to download recordings for personal use.
13. Termination by Client
Clients may end services at any time with written notice. Any completed sessions or services are non-refundable.
14. Limited Liability
Mikki Hypnotherapy provides services in good faith but makes no guarantees or warranties. The Hypnotherapist shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of services.
15. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of Florida courts.

By booking and attending sessions, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
